Radiophonic Phantoms

Radiophonic Phantoms (2016) is a series of prints on Vellum that record surface details found on audio artefacts housed in the Emile Berlin Musée des Ondes in Montréal, Canada. The series employs a graphite based trace-making technique, often used to record surface artwork and information of historically significant tombstones. This work details the death, obsolescence and failure of technology by documenting and scaling up subtle imprints and textures found on mundane radio and stereo equipment that would have once filled the domestic sphere.

DIY Sonic Loophole Generator

‘DIY Sonic Loophole Generator’ is an animated step-by-step how-to video that demonstrates how to make a sonic loophole generator with mobile phones. This is a sister artwork to ‘DIY Telephone Feedback Performance’ – which you can read about here. These works are presented together as an Audio Visual Installation with a limited edition poster that is given away so that the effect can be experimented with at home.
